Matt E Allen is the owner and founder of Good Wood Inc. Before this he co-owned Allen Allen and Allen Woodworking with his brother David and father John. Matt completed an Industrial Design Engineering degree with minors in Marketing and Art from Western Michigan University in 2007.

My mission is to create the most beautiful furniture my customers want for the fairest price possible, not a penny more or less.
After building decks for 10 years I completed my BSc in Industrial Design Engineering (read "product design") and spent 2 additional years completing minors in Marketing and Art. Graduating during the financial meltdown, finding a job in my field didn't happen and I ended up working as an Account Manager at CDW for 2 years. 5 years ago I changed direction and now my woodworking hobby and passion has blossomed into my business.
